Home project safety. Homes, tools, materials, climates, and local requirements differ. This content is general information, not an on-site assessment or individualized professional advice.

These terms adapt our February 12, 2023 terms for the refreshed site. DIY Home Comfort is based in Oregon; the existing Utah governing-law provision is retained.

1. Terms

Accessing this site constitutes agreement to its terms and applicable laws. You are responsible for local compliance. If you disagree, do not use it. Copyright and trademark protections apply.

2. Use license

One temporary copy is permitted for personal, non-commercial viewing. Ownership stays with the rights holder. Copying, modification, commercial use, public display, reverse engineering, removing ownership notices, redistribution, and mirroring are prohibited without permission. Breach terminates permission; DIY Home Comfort may also terminate it. Destroy downloaded copies upon termination.

3. Disclaimer

Materials carry no express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness, and non-infringement. Accuracy, results, reliability, and linked content are not guaranteed.

DIY Home Comfort provides general educational content. It is not individualized advice from a contractor, electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, engineer, architect, code official, or other licensed professional, and it is not a substitute for an on-site assessment.

Property conditions, products, building codes, permits, utility requirements, and manufacturer instructions vary and can change. Visitors should review current instructions and warnings and verify applicable local requirements before starting work.

Home projects can involve electricity, gas, combustion, plumbing, structural work, heights, tools, chemicals, and other hazards that may cause property damage, serious injury, or death. Do not attempt work beyond your training, authorization, or ability. Stop and use a qualified, appropriately licensed professional when a task is hazardous or uncertain. For an immediate hazard or emergency, leave the affected area and contact local emergency services or the relevant utility.

4. Limitations

DIY Home Comfort and suppliers exclude liability for use-related losses, including lost data, profits, or business interruption, where legally permitted. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

5. Revisions and errors

Materials may contain errors. Completeness and currency are not guaranteed; updates are discretionary.

6. Links

Third-party links imply no endorsement. Their content is outside our responsibility; visitors use them at their own risk.

7. Changes to these terms

Terms may change without notice. Continued use is subject to the posted version.

8. Governing law

Website claims are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, excluding conflict-of-law provisions.
